The accounting profession can be a difficult field for many. Hours are long, busy season can be murderous, and to be honest, what we do can be boring. It is easy to find yourself wondering if this is what you want to do for the rest of your life.
That is the purpose of Career Crisis Accountant – reclaiming life to live it on our terms. Your career or job title doesn’t define who you are – you do. You can wake up excited for each day. Life doesn’t need to be scheduled and all planned out. You don’t need to live the same version of the “American Dream” as everyone else. You can become financially independent instead of financially dependent.
This is what you can expect from Career Crisis Accountant. I’m not a pro at this (learn more about me!). I still struggle daily with keeping my day job from overtaking my personal life. I let outside pressure decide how I live my life.
But I’ve realized it doesn’t need to be this way.
I am setting out on a journey to reclaim my life from the grasps of the accounting 7-5 (because I swear the 8 hour day doesn’t exist).
After experiencing a bad case of burnout in 2017, I realized I’m not be on the path I’m supposed to be on. Accounting seemed to be a good fit, yet I’m now realizing this may not be my long-term. If I value things like my health and family, I need to make changes.
Join me as I explore financial independence and learning to live a more fulfilling life.
