About

Hello!

I’m t. – the Career Crisis Accountant.

I’m an eight-year accounting industry veteran. I’ve spent time in both public and industry.

We have all had that moment in our careers where we pause, sit back, and wonder if this is all life is. Is life only working 40+ a week for 40 years?

God I fucking hope not.

But many of us fall into this trap. Work overtakes our lives and begins to define who we are. Think about the last time you met someone new. How long did it take to mention what you do for work as if that is the thing that defines you?

I’ve been there and I’ve come to the realization that life can be something more. Life shouldn’t be spent working 40+ hours a week inside cubicles and doing reconciliations.

We need to regain control of our lives.  Happiness needs to become a key component of life.

And it is never too late to get started on the path. Whether your career crisis comes at 25, 35, or 55, there is still time to take back your life from the “9-5 till 65 world”.

Financial independence can be the path to get you there.

And I’m here to help guide you on your journey.

Want to Know More About Me?

  • I’m a husband and father to two wonderful women. They are the inspiration behind my journey.
  • I began my career in public accounting before moving to private industry where I have been since.
  • I live in the upper Midwest and spend my winters complaining about why I still live here.
  • I have struggled with anxiety for most of my life and still trying to learn how to better cope with it.
  • Some of the biggest (and best) decisions in my life were made on gut feel. I’ve learned that if I take too much time on a decision, I probably should choose against it.
  • I would pick a comedy over any other genre any day of the week. This is why I have never seen Breaking Bad, any Netflix show, or watched more than a couple episodes of GoT.
  • Hiking in nature is one of the best de-stressors I have found.
  • I dream about traveling the US in an RV and hope to turn that dream into reality.
Now it’s time to get to work. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have as you strike off on your journey to freedom.

Let’s do this.
